The photographs depict the animals of the savannah and in order to find his own expression, he has created so-called photopolymer, through a type of printing technique. Sem Larsen thinks that this gives an atmospheric impression, it looks a bit old. Being a full-time photographer is a privilege for few, Sem Larsen has experienced that, but never losing control of image creation is important to him. It is easy to see in the image suites from the savannah trip in Africa in 2014, and in the ambition to work on the nature images using the art graphic process photopolymer.
The passionate naturalist lives as he teaches; a little away from the urban area, other living conditions become his companions. Hunting, fishing and, not least, care and concern for nature provide quality of life.
Born in 1964, now working in Öxnevalla, Sem Larsen studied at the Gothenburg School of Photography. After completing his photography education, he became a member of the photo agency Korthuset in 1989, later of Pixgallery Bildbyrå (Image agency).
