Albin Liljestrand about his process

'A piece of paper and a pen are all that is needed to create something unique. And of which there is only one copy in the whole world. A work of art, quite simply. For as long as I can remember, I have drawn on newspapers, tablecloths, toilet rolls, clothes, doors and walls. Whether I draw an old man at the bottom of a shopping list or do a 3 x 4 meter oil painting, it's the same process. I had my first exhibition of my own 10 years ago when I was 15. And since then it's been a roller coaster. I'm probably crazy enough to even try to make a living from my art at my age. But that's how it is - and that's how it's supposed to be.
Thoughts in the brain must exit through the body's channels and physically stick to a surface. Then others can see what I see, hear what I hear. This is my "point of gravity". Around this point my whole world revolves. '
