FOREST
November 6 - November 30
Dense, untouched and deeply alive, the primeval forest has always aroused both awe and imagination. It is a place we do not fully understand, where human presence feels temporary and observant. Forest is a collective exhibition that delves into this enigmatic world; into the hidden life of the forest, its essence, play of light and ancient rhythms.
With works in bronze, stoneware, graphics and painting, seven artists invite you to a multifaceted interpretation of the forest as a place, symbol and story. Karl Mårtens lets animals emerge from misty landscapes, as messengers from the wild. Kristin Andreassen's design language seeks the mythical, where sculptures in stoneware and bronze depict shadowy beings. Ingela Friedner works in detail where nature often seems to carry memories, charged with quiet drama.
Maria Zetterstrand creates stoneware sculptures that radiate a quiet presence, where forms from nature transform into something else – something ancient and at the same time timeless. Roger Metto takes the viewer deeper into a secret part of the forest, while Malin Mossberg's atmospheric motifs depict a dreamlike landscape. Hanna Beling has chosen to emphasize the risk to species as the existence of the primeval forest is under constant threat.
In our cultural history, the forest has always been more than just a place; it has been a starting point for fairy tales, myths and inner journeys.
In Forest, personal expression meets the mythical motif – a place of transformation, fear, wonder and stillness.
