The exhibition moves in the borderland between land and sea, where nothing is completely solid and nothing completely fluid. Here, an in-between space emerges where objects take on different forms and meanings. Light meets darkness. For several years, Maria Zetterstrand has collected, sorted, and listened to the materials of nature, a process that has become the very heart of her creative work.

Through focused work with clay, she has shaped ceramic objects that feel alive, almost as if they possess a will of their own. They can be perceived as ancient finds, unearthed from the ground or the sea, while simultaneously vibrating with something organic and present.

Maria Zetterstrand studied at Konstfack, where she earned her Master of Fine Arts degree with a focus on ceramics and glass.
