For centuries, women have been at the center of artistic expression, but on different terms: often as objects of the gaze rather than as practitioners of it. Yet, despite setbacks and limitations, women have also fundamentally shaped and changed the expression of art.

In the second part of the summer salon, we present women as motifs in painting, photography and sculpture. The exhibition features works by Sonja Hesslow, Kristin Andreassen, Sirje Papp, Olga Semenova, Lola Akinmade and others.
